Pederson Bridge over I-10 Katy near Brookshire to remain closed for repairs, TxDOT says

WALLER COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- If the Pederson Bridge in Waller County is part of your commute, expect some slowdowns as repairs are being made, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.

On Tuesday, commuters saw heavy backups along the westbound lanes of the I-10 Katy at Pederson Bridge. ABC13 saw the highway reduced to one lane between Anserra Trail and Pederson Road due to construction.

Later in the day, TxDOT Houston shared on social media that the Pederson Bridge over I-10 would remain closed "until further notice" for additional repairs to be made.

"We do appreciate everyone's patience this morning," TxDOT said, adding that the repairs in the morning were meant to take place overnight but additional work is needed.
